Recall that, Thierry Henry took over a struggling Monaco side last year with the hopes of turning the fortunes of the club around but was smacked when he could not.
The news now is that, Major League Soccer side, Montreal Impact have announced the appointment of the Frenchman who has been out of work since January after the ousting by Monaco.
According to Montreal Impact sporting director Oliver Renard:
‘Young and dynamic, he’s very familiar with MLS and meets the qualities we were looking for in our search. This nomination, two months before the start of camp in January, will give us a chance to build our squad with the man that will lead it.’- Source.
It is hoped that he can turn the fortunes of the club around as he agreed on a two-year deal with an option of three to move to Montreal, thus returning to the MLS.

My Thoughts.

This is good news for the Frenchman who has been out of work since January, now he is back to the field again.
Although, there had been speculations that he was linked with some jobs in Europe, I highly doubt that was the case. He flopped at Monaco because he was too hasty thinking he could do some magic.
While at the helm of affair at Monaco, Henry mustered just four wins and conceded 11 defeats in 20 games. Poor results.
Being a great player doesn't always equal great managerial skills. I will say it here, he needs to eleven to be a good coach and try to see the field like he saw it asap player.

Do you think Henry will do well in Montreal as a coach?
Is the MLS easier to manage than Lique 1, La liga and the premier leagues?
