Blast from the past - WRC Rally Catalunya 2001

Hi, friends!

Today we are going to early 2000's when Rally Catalunya was pure tarmac event with roads wide like a highways and high speed special stages.

We are going to the time when Colin McRae, his brother Alister, Marcus Gronholm. Carlos Sainz, Hari Rovanpera, Gilles Panizzi and other legends from the sport ruled the world.

It was also time when Gilles Panizzi was master of tarmac rallies with his small Peugeot 206 WRC.

Because it was so small car, that was the reason why he was so much better then the competition. But that year Citroen also entered the WRC with Xsara WRC and they were also super fast after years of fighting at the front in F2.

Well, I forgot one more legend and that was Tommi Makinen, head of current Toyota WRC works squad.
