Nerding out about Splinterlands Economics - Peak Podcast #2

THIS EPISODE

The first half of this episode is a LOT of spreadsheets and in depth discussion about economics of Splinterlands
We show off how we check up on Splinterlands each day to see what's going on.
We also list each way there is to make money from or indirectly from Splinterlands

About half way through we transition to more chatting about future of Splinterlands
We also answered a few user questions.

NEXT EPISODE

We recorded a wonderful discussion with @aggroed which will come out later this week.
I think you'll be as bullish about Splinterlands as we were after listing to the big ideas they're hoping to make happen.

A game mechanic I'd like to see them add is "item cards." For example:

So, ignore the health. I had to enter something. I figure, an item card like this can only be placed on the end of the line or on a special non-combat line so it can't tank or draw attack.

Possible mechanics:

  • If you lose the match, you lose the card (maybe also conditional on certain match rules).
  • If your opponent has "greedy" monsters, they switch sides for the match.
  • If your opponent has "altruistic" monsters, they lose "inspire."

I'm thinking there could be several kinds of items, probably with different levels.

I'm really enjoying lacing up the hiking boots, and putting you guys on audio, getting out for a long walk.
Keep it up.
