As my alt has continued to battle through the Splinterlands, he's started to gain some ground. Let me show you the latest progress made.
The first significant event is gaining Torhilo in a daily quest. I don't think I'll be using him a lot, but in high Mana battles where melee can attack from any position then certainly he'll be in there.
I also got my end of season rewards, but nothing too significant happened there, other than a nice boost in DEC and potions.
With my potions, I opened up an orb that I got in my daily quest. Again, nothing too significant, but cards that I can turn into DEC are always good.
Now we come to the most significant thing that's happened lately too this account. A gold Rare Silvershirld Assassin!
I quickly turned it into DEC on the market. That, combined with the DEC I won previously made for a nice sum in my wallet. I thought a long time about what to do with it. How could I best give my account a better competitive edge? The thing that I've noticed over and over seems to be that my summoners put me at a disadvantage. Most of the Untamed summoner abilities affect the other player's team. Which only does you any good if they happen to play the type of card that your summoner affects.
With this in mind I bought two Beta Summoners: Alric and Malric. I chose these two because their abilities directly enhance the content of my team, which is something I have direct control over. This is in stark contrast to the Untamed summoners in the blue and red splinters. At least that's the theory. Time will tell how effective the strategy is.
