Splinterlands Spotlight #3: Serpentine Spy Battle Challenge
Hello Splinterlands aficionados!
I'd like to take the opportunity to introduce you to a very valuable yet low cost Fire splinter card..
Serpentine Spy!
Starting at level one, this card comes with the opportunity ability. This means he will target whichever enemy has the lowest health.
The quick striking action of the Serpentine Spy makes it valuable. Especially with any sort of melee buff like Inspire
However, the soft underbelly proves to be a weak point as he only has two health until level six. This can be aided by a few of the battle rules.
The spy's health can be greatly increased during the Equilizer rule. Just pair him up with the Molten orgre or another monster with lots of health. Armored up will give him a small cushion of two armor and that just might be enough for an extra attack.
For the Weekly Battle Challenge it was Fire against Fire!
The Equalizer rule was in play for this match so it was a great time to use my Serpentine spy and Exploding Dwarf.
The Molten Ogre increased everyone's health. (Enemies too)
My Beetle queen was ready to heal the tanks. The Fire Demon had his sights on that secondary position and my super buff chicken was ready to absorb some sneak attacks.
In the end, The Serpentine Spy left the battlefield victorious and unscathed. There were a few misses and blunders but all in all the result was what I was going for.
I really love using cards that have the opportunity ability. As a general rule I usually try to pair cards in battle. For example.. two sneak cards or two opportunity cards. Just so my monsters aren't spread too thin.
