SPinvest has almost 5000 STEEM worth of investments - Let's have a look

Hello everybody, today is Saturday and i always try to throw some good information out on this day as more people are online at the weekend and i always learn a few things myself. Today, we will be looking over our currently off-platform investments and looking to see how they are performing. I'll not be including our fiat cash holdings are the Leo and Neo as none are not HODL investments, sub-accounts are ongoing support accounts so i don't really count them as an off-platform even if they are technically an investment for us. Let's focus on proper stuff that we just buy and hold. Using the figures from this weeks holdings report, let's get into it.

Steem powered investments @spinvest has been set up to offer an investment fund based on funding from STEEM POWER. Investments are funded through extracting value out of STEEM POWER and taking advantage of STEEM's high inflation rate. The aim is not to get rich quick; the aim is to build a safe portfolio of investments that will stand the test of time while ensuring all investors starting capital is not at risk. Full details can be found here

Off-platform investments

When SPinvest earns STEEM from leasing SP, post rewards, tribes tokens and it's other streams of income, everything is added to the @spinvest STEEM saving's wallet. We save that STEEM up and then when we have enough, we cash it out and invest it off-platform. We currently have 4700 STEEM in off-platform investments that represent around 6% of the total fund worth spread out over 5 investments.

Because we roll like this and only invest with STEEM earned, all investments capital is safely locked up in SP and investments are only made with the STEEM earned from that SP. This makes SPinvest a very safe investment as every single token is backed by SP. It's a really safe and highly investable business model. Many Steemit users have seen and taken advantage of what we offer, if this is your first time hearing about SPinvest, maybe you should stack up on a few.

Bitcoin

That's start with the king of cryptos. We made 3 small investments into Bitcoin, these we investment numbers 1,2 and 4 so we bought our BTC around 4 months away. In total, we own 0.01323 BTC and we are earning a variable interest rate that changes every week and ranges from 2-6% with a Celsius wallet. Our total investment in BTC is 850 STEEM. Today we BTC holdings in STEEM is worth 913.82 so we are winning by just over 60 STEEM are 7%.
Going forward we could look at buying some more as BTC will not be at the $7000-8000 mark his time next year. It depends on STEEM as well and in theory, STEEM should really gain against BTC in terms of STEEM/BTC ratio as it's much more likely for STEEM to x10 than BTC (in theory). BTC is a solid HODL and the only non-STEEM blockchain crypto we plan to invest into for the time being.

WINNING !!!

Silver ETC's

Our next investment was 7oz's of silver ETC's. These are basically paper silver and something i personal don't like as i believe you need to hold precious metals to properly own them but as an investment fund, these work best for us. Each ETC's is worth 1oz of silver priced in British pounds. The price of silver in fiat has gone sideways but STEEM is down a little so we are doing ok. We invested a total of 940 STEEM into silver and todays STEEM value is 1010 STEEM which is 7%. Another good result.

Silver has been lagging behind gold for some time with the GTS ratio being in the 80s. Let me tell you something when silver bounces back it will slingshot and we could see silver going x3 on us within the next years, either that are the price of gold goes down but the ratio needs to correct at some stage. We will HODL and add more as we see fit.

WINNING !!!

Steem Monsters Beta tokens

These were part of our last off-platform investment. Steem Monster tokens cards are the best performing tokens on the exchange but because we cant search history without running a bot not a lot of people know that. Each token represents 1 unopened beta booster pack. We spent 740 STEEM to acquire 37 beta tokens. They are valued today at 894 STEEM which is a 21% gain.

These tokens are a fantastic HODL and i only see the price going up as demand for the game increases. The actual STEEM MONSTERS dapp is the most used dapp on the STEEM blockchain, more used then steemit. Something to think about. I am happy to invest in more of these at almost any time. I wish i still had the charts to show you guys.

WINNING !!!

Steem Monsters Alpha tokens

These, of course, are other Steem Monsters tokens and each token represent's 1 unopened Alpha booster pack. The Alpha deck was the first deck for players to use and these cards and tokens are being rarer as time goes by. There are currently only 8677 Alpha tokens out there compared to the 69,341 beta tokens out there.

We bought 17 Alpha tokens for 960 STEEM and today value in STEEM is 1455.12 which is an insane 91% in around 5-6 weeks. We need to get a good buying price at 45 STEEM, we had to wait a week a re so to get the order filled but it's paying off big time now.

WINNING !!!

Steem-engine tokens (ENG)

Not a lot to say really, we from time to time convert tribe tokens into ENG and HODL them. It makes sense as they are required for a few services and we might need some as some time for something but as an investment, they are performing very poorly for us. I can not tell you how much has been invested but it was all certainly invested at a higher price. We should not be bothered with this too much as it's all for free from tribes tokens. We'll continue to HODL terms in the hope they get closer to the 1/1 ratio with STEEM again.

WHATEVER !!!!

That is the lot

SPinvest is around 7 months old and is doing pretty well i think. We have a couple of good investments and our earnings will provide us with more STEEM to increase those holding and add new investments too. We should hope that the price of STEEM increase's a lot and these investment decrease in STEEM value but these investments are the hedge against STEEM and right now STEEM is going down in terms of fiat.
As long as we keep doing what we are doing, there is no reason we could not have x3-4 the holding we have now this time next year. We just gotta keep grinding and making it happen.

Below are steemconnect hotlinks that allow investors to buy SPI tokens directly from @spinvest. Each token is currently priced at 1.00 STEEM and beside each link is the true STEEM cost to reduce confusion. You can also send any amount directly to @spinvest and i will issue you SPI tokens to 2 decimal places for the value of STEEM to send. All tokens bought directly will be sent to investors SE wallets within 24 hours but most likely much sooner.
.
5 SPI tokens - 5 STEEM
.
10 SPI tokens - 10 STEEM
.
25 SPI tokens - 25 STEEM
.
50 SPI tokens - 50 STEEM
.
100 SPI tokens - 100 STEEM
.
250 SPI tokens - 250 STEEM
.
500 SPI tokens - 500 STEEM
.
1000 SPI tokens - 1000 STEEM
.
2500 SPI tokens - 2500 STEEM

Personally, I am impressed with the overall results. While the idea is to get rich slowly, things are moving ahead at a rapid rate. By getting involved in solid crypto projects like Splinterlands and LEO, we could see the returns jump substantially in the first few years.

When we add in the ability of people to influence what is taking place, such as providing an upvote on an article, plus curation, we see the value of the entire keep moving higher.

What can we do if the number of people involved in this project doubled. Imagine what things would look like then.

Things are moving along fast. It's starting to get hard to say the goal is to get rich slowly while earning a 25% ROI for early investors 6 months back. lmao. It's not planned, that's for sure. My projections were to have earned 10-13% by this stage. Just lucky i guess :)

Your last line makes my head blow up with possibles.

These are basically paper silver and something i personal don't like as i believe you need to hold precious metals to properly own them

I'm on the other side of the fence, here's why:

You don't have to invest in security: You'd have to hold and trade a lot of silver to recuperate the cost of buying decent vault(s) , which also brings the next problem: more silver -> bigger or more vault(s), physical space to put it and other security measures since you will want to protect that stuff the more you have it.

Liquidity and transport: ETC are bought and sold with a few clicks. Physical silver not quite, plus the risk and costs when in transport. Also more silver the more it will cost.

Just my opinion.

For an investment club, ETC is 100% to the best option as they are easily traded, you can buy them at the silver spot price and there are no holding fees.

For a personal stacker, i think that you need to hold it yourself, in a vault are in a safe at home. It costs more for sure having to get is delivered but when you hold your own silver, you also have a resale premium if you have bought a coin that is part of a popular series are something. As a silver stacker for 6 years, i sleep better at night knowing where my money is. There are many different types of silvr stackers out there each with there own plan and goals. My thoughts are, as long as your stacking, doesn't really matter if its paper are physical silver, your stacking and that's the important thing.

Both have there plus and negatives and i personally should own some paper silver as i have a decent stack and 50oz of paper would only represent a small percentage. I just can't make myself do it, i can't pull the trigger.

Great comment, thank you for sharing
