What's up with Steem price action?

On a day where everything takes a loss Steem decides to start breaking resistance?

Could this be the mythical beginning to the SMT pump and dump?

Could it signal the bottom?

Is it way too early to call it?

Stay tuned to find out!

JK, the bottom is in,
sell your first born.

Then I am glad I bought a few hundred dollars worth of STEEM earlier this evening. Am using it to get a bit more SE tokens...loving me some LEO these days.

In all seriousness do you think the bottom is in for STEEM or we see lower? I am not sure other than whacking everything, that Bitcoin has much impact on STEEM. The token is so far down, I dont think most are paying much attention.

It is still very dependent on Bitcoin at this point.

These trading algorithms/bots will automatically sell Steem preemptively if the rest of the market is bleeding. Self-fulfilling prophecy. You can't really avoid the tether. Hopefully it stops pulling as hard as the network matures.

Yeah this is the signal I was looking for,
a time when the market crashed slightly but steem went up.

It's also perfectly in mid-October which is nice.
Really right around the time I expected the summer pullback to be over.

What I didn't predict correctly was how little Steem would gain during the summer, then I went on tilt and convinced myself that we wouldn't lose value during the drop. Wrong on both counts. Lesson learned.

Oh no! What do i do?

If i want to buy more STEEM while the price is still relatively low, all i have is some SBDs.

Or maybe i should buy some SBDs because they are like rare, cause none have been given out lately

What do i do?

Sounds like you should do nothing.
Sometimes nothing is the smartest play.
Carry on, friend!

I still see 14 cents as per usual lately? Celebrating my year 1 day here and it would be great if steem could rise out the muck..

It's interesting to think that the btc I've acquired via my exploits here require some fantasy to think the price will rise 6x anytime soon. However, this time last year steem was 80+ cents when I signed on.

My whole issue is I'm just not a fan of the 13 week powerdown and the seemingly faithless requirement to hold SP when it's pretty much pointless unless one is a dolphin at minimum. Basically I've got no motivation to be the hoo rah go steem cheerleader guy and all in all this place is so infinitesimal in the big picture to even consider it as a holding. I get that's a provocative comment and might trigger those emotionally invested as well as financially but I'm neither of those things and just offering my perspective that I can't even consider steem as a legitimate part of the crypto sphere and really nobody else outside of here does either.

Is that a death sentence? No, I feel there's plenty of potential here but the world isn't ready for steem and steem isn't ready for the world and with nobody really in charge it's a tough sell to say anything will cause steem to surge. The previous values were all over evaluations, something that plagues all projects both good and bad.

Things are better here but the consistency of 30 dollar posts from auto votes is a joke and most of that content is average at best and I apologize for my long winded reply here but I've been avoiding all steem posts for weeks now and I found this post about steem price inspiring..

Steem starts climbing I'll consider putting my organic rewards back into the ecosystem otherwise I'm buying bitcents with my meager earnings..

price pumping due to many dapps onboarding new steemians to the blockchain who needs steem in other to carry out various activities using the steem blockchain, but we shouldnt be too happy as most of the steem from bidbots owners will soon find itsself on the steem/btc market, am betting $0.5 for massive sell out so they can average out.

Bottom may be in, but I don't put a lot of weight into these kinds of moves.

Oh yeah for sure.
I haven't put anything more into Steem.
Still trying to swing Litecoin into buying more Steem later.

The price move was a bit better than okay, but the volume (if accurate) is very impressive.

Dont you worry... the speculator algos will kick in soon and well be down once again. lol.

You cant really fight the speculators and the scripts they run that are specifically designed to follow the top alts and bitcoin.

It's true you really can't.

Dont think we are in bull market just yet. Just a good day in an otherwise very dark altcoin market.

I wouldn't call it a bull market either,
I think it's an SMT pump and dump introduction.
