The Idiot/El idiota

Everything I say can sound smart but is actually stupid. I try to speak clearly and with tact and diplomacy, but, well, the United States Government raised me and I am what I am. I fail before I even begin. Almost everything good in my life is torn down by my inability to be an acceptable human being.

People tell me they love me for my honesty (example: PALnet) but they really only love when I happen to tell the truth about things they personally agree with. All else is destroyed beyond repair by the fact that I have no tact. Friendships, work relationships, family connections. All of it. I tell the absolute truth from where I stand and I regret not staying silent. Whether I am unjustly attacked for saying "hello" at the wrong moment or a victim of sexual harrassment and defamation, I can always count on myself to not only burn the last bridge as I stand in the middle of the puddle of gas I spilled, but also to ((metaphorically)) suicide bomb that motherfucker while I'm engulfed in flames.

And the innocent that bless me with their love and dedication...well, that is where I lack the most because I am an idiot.

Todo lo que digo puede sonar inteligente, pero es realmente estúpido. Trato de hablar con claridad y tacto y con diplomacia, pero bueno, el gobierno de los Estados Unidos me crió y soy lo que soy. Fallo incluso antes de comenzar. Casi todo lo bueno en mi vida es destruido por mi incapacidad para ser un ser humano aceptable.

Las personas me dicen que me aman por mi honestidad (ejemplo: PALnet) pero que realmente solo aman cuando digo la verdad sobre cosas con las que personalmente están de acuerdo. Todo lo demás se destruye sin la posibilidad de reparación debido al hecho de que no tengo tacto. Amistades, relaciones laborales, conexiones familiares. Todo ello. Digo la verdad absoluta desde mi punto de vista y siempre lamento no haber estado en silencio. Ya sea que me ataquen injustamente por decir "hola" en el momento equivocado o por ser víctima de acoso sexual y difamación, siempre puedo contar conmigo mismo para no solo quemar el último puente mientras estoy parado en medio del charco de gas que derramé, pero también para ((metafóricamente)) suicida bombardearlo mientras estoy completamente envuelto en llamas.

Y los inocentes que me bendicen con su amor y dedicación ... bueno, ahí es donde más me falta porque soy un idiota.
