Hoy les quiero mostrar una de mis últimas obras, una cosa que he dejado en standby desde el 2014 y que me he animado a retomar por nostalgia.
Today I want to show you one of my latest painting, it is a piece I left on stand by in 2014 but I bring it again to finish it because of the nostalgia.

Esta obra tiene su inicio en el 2014, quería diseñar algo relacionado con la estética de las cartas de poker (tenía una extraña obsesión con esas cosas) y de allí surgió esta idea.
This painting has its beginnings in 2014, I wanted to draw something related to the aesthetic of poker cards (I had a strange obsession with these things) and from that, this idea shows up.
Kaius es un personaje mío original que diseñé aquellos años. La obra lleva el nombre del personaje, jack es lo que significa la J del póker.
Kaius is a character of mine I designed around 2014. The painting has the character's name, jack is what means the J in the poker card.
Huelga decir que la anatomía estaba mal. Me ayudé con fotos de atletas y modelos 3D para acomodarlo y darle más sentido.
It is too obvious the anatomy was wrong. I helped myself with photos of athletes and 3D models to fix it and give it more sense.
El fondo fue particularmente complicado, revisé referencias de los fondos que se usan en los diseños de cartas y use todo lo que pude conseguir para hacer este.
The background was particularly complicated, I look over the background on classic poker cards and I make up a new design basing up in what I saw.
Tuve una crisis pitando el personaje, así que probé un método para pintar nuevo que vi en un video, y la verdad creo que funcionó bastante bien.
I had an anxiety crisis attack painting the character so I decided to test a new technique for drawing I watch on a video, I think it worked pretty well.
Después de añadir las luces y los highlights, el marco y los detalles que hacen una carta, quedó terminado.
After I add the Lights, highlights, the border, and the details to make it look like a card, it is finished.

La idea detrás del personaje y el motivo de carta es que, ambos son la misma persona, solo que el de la izquierda es un 'disfraz' y de la derecha es la apariencia real.
The idea behind the character and the card thematic is, both are the same person, the one on the left is a 'human disguise' and the right is the real form.
