Denis Bédard – Carillon from Sinfonietta

avatar

This recording was made in June 2012 when Michel Colin (and myself to a lesser extent) inaugurated the reconstructed 1890 Théodore Puget Père et fils organ in the chapel of Kincoppal-Rose Bay. I had never released it and here it is with Michel Colin's approval. I acknowledge Stéphane Pesce and his late father, Gilbert Pesce, who brilliantly completed this difficult restoration.

This is a fun piece to play and I hope many will enjoy listening to it.

This 1890 Puget must be the most incredible instrument of a mere 12 stops I know of. Four reeds and 8 flues.
