Unboxing my CD! | Silver Celebration - 25 years of the St Matthew's organ, Albury
My freshly pressed CDs arrived at our house last week. Since I was at work at the time, @leysa had the honour of advising the delivery guy where to stack all the boxes in the corner of our garage. It's a daily occurrence for the postie or courier to be knocking on our door each day with a delivery for @leysa ... so I bet she was scratching her head trying to remember what she had bought online, that could have come in several cardboard boxes!
I had several pre-orders of my CDs so I mailed these out promptly. I'm also hoping the copies for @organduo and @laputis arrive soon. It should take about a week for a standard package to travel from Australia to Lithuania. I anticipate an unboxing and scholarly review on Steem once they receive it and listen :)
This week I was also interviewed by the local newspaper. I talked about how this was the second CD to be pressed since the organ was commissioned in 1994. Back in 1991, the original organ was destroyed and this Létourneau was its replacement. The newspaper here "reverse publishes"—meaning everything goes online first before it goes to print. My little story will be plated and printed this evening for the Saturday edition. I will buy a copy in the morning as it's a good keepsake to have and show my children when they are a bit older.
