SoCal Steemit Meetup

Hi Friends,

A few days ago I had the opportunity to do a meetup with some fellow Steemians and crypto fans as part of the @socalsteemit group! The group and meetup were organized by @derekrichardson, and was the second meetup I have been to with them.

We went to a local minor league baseball team’s game and had a box suite to ourselves! There were about a dozen of us that were able to make it, and we had some great food, such as jalapeno cream cheese dip, bbq’ed chicken, twice baked potatoes with bacon – everything was fantastic!

We had some great conversations about crypto and the state of steem, and it was fun to get to know many of them on a more personal level. Given the current price of steem and the upcoming hard fork, there is some uncertainty about the future of steem, but, overall, people were mostly positive and optimistic. I always enjoy hearing about why people like steem and crypto in general and getting other people’s perspectives on things as well.

Overall, it was a great time, and a big thank you to @derekrichardson for organizing and hosting such a fun event…. Look forward to the next one!
