Haunted House Season

This post is an entry into the weekly contest of @socalsteemit where we show our California.

It seems the push to advertise/sell stuff for Halloween keeps starting earlier each year. With a little under a month and half to go before Halloween, no matter where you look you are reminded that it is coming up.

The local haunted houses have already started up as well, including at one of our favorite amusement parks - Knott’s Berry Farm. Similar to Universal Studios Hollywood, Knott’s transforms itself at night and creates a number scare zones, haunted houses, mazes, etc as you walk through the park at night in what they call Knott’s Scary Farm. While other places also do it, Knott’s is one of the favorites of the people looking to get scared silly.

The kids went to Knott’s in the day time yesterday, and they try to hide most of the scary stuff for the daytime crowd, and close the park up for the Scary Farm at night. Kendra is still so young and innocent, things like that don’t scare her yet, but Jacob certainly gets a little nervous and doesn’t like all the scary things.
