I Found a Dragon... [NoAccountsLeftToUse]
I have a lot of alt accounts that I mostly do not post on anymore. I used to enjoy posting in the character of @cyclops or @beelzebub etc. quite a lot, but the depressing reality of Steem is that content discovery is terrible and I was mostly just pissing into the wind when I posted on anything except my main account.
Today I am re-sharing a post I authored on my @alieneyeball account (an account where I posted more of my alien art than I wanted to post on my main blog at the time), a post that I am quite proud of, with innovative format and interesting text to compliment original art. It received 13 votes, one automated comment and paid out at $.37, 11 months ago when Steem was worth a lot more than it is now. Although for almost any post I would recommend using steempeak.com to view it, this post was specifically designed with steemit.com's narrow viewing window in mind and the long vertical strip illustration perfectly matches the length of the entire post's text if viewed on steemit.com.

I found a dragon in the pumpkin patch...
It had fallen between the sunflowers,
a victim of profound lack of imagination.Rather smaller than I expected, or perhaps that as well is a sign of the times.
In any case I salvaged enough good hide to make a belt and maybe a wallet or something. There are surprisingly few good resources on preparing and tanning imaginary dragon hide, so I had to wing it. I am pleased with the results!
This dragon hatched out of its egg as a sunflower.
Here are the original two cropped black and white sections of my original sunflower photography that evolved into the dragon hide shared here.

I did my customary blend of PhotoShop manipulation/painting/cloning/rotating/cropping/etc. and layering multiple passes through the DeepDreamGenerator to achieve these results.

ooooh me likey. i've always thought that dragons must have shiny, slightly metallic multi-colored scales that can change color at will, to blend in to their surrounding. giant chameleons with wings.
Yeah that is kinda how I picture it as well :) I thought these evoked dragon scales quite nicely
This is awesome. I would embiggen that and put it on my wall if i could.
Wind a mend bend –amazing. Just love all the detail in each little thing. Could get lost for hours looking at just a part of it.
