Soil in My Mouth - Sorrow Stories - Nickillus remix2 by Nickillus

Sorrow Stories (Tina Forlorn) kindly put some more tracks from her 'This Time Has Already Passed' album up for remixing in another Metapop competition. I missed this one, but Tina kindly consented to me tacking a belated remix outside of competition. I had a ton of fun working with her highly individual vocals. It's all about experimenting and trying to improve. Boy is there room for that. This is a second version for this track, which I prefer to my first attempt. I may upload that version later for comparison.

Lies Behind The Afterlife by @lastravage

Upbeat drum and bass start, distorted guitar riff, eerie low timbre acapella choir singing under the first brief guitar solo.
Brief lyrics confirming all we know about the afterlife.
Then, the main guitar solo, starting a bit like the first one, ending up to instability.
The overdriven feedback at the end of this track is linked to the beginning of the following one.

Lyrics:

Lies behind the afterlife.

Yes, I'm sure that you know all about it.
So, tell me that you are not afraid of dying.
Heaven, Hell or nothing when your heart gives up.
Not even your soul is a matter of fact but life is.

Lost Quarter by @indusrush

A political song really which started out about Iraq and the sanctions against them, but over time it wasn't relevant anymore, so I changed the lyrics to fit the current situation when I recorded it. So it's a bit of an anti Isis song now, but also pointing the finger at the U.S. for creating the problem in the first place. I wrote the song when I lived in Koh Samui, and it was written to play live at that time, but I think we only played it once. I don't really like the song much as it sounds dated, and more like a 70's anthem...lol
