So this week was freakin super difficult for all of us to make our decisions, there were just too many amazing entries. I swear I changed my line up right up until the judges window closed, I should mention I got my top picks in to be included in time (I just didn't get the post out so doing that now).

I know there were many messages between the judges stressing over their selections, cause we all take this really seriously it can get a bit stressful. Especially when there is no clear winner in your mind, I mean most of the entries this week were absolutely faultless.

So if there literally isn't any mistakes in the entries, it can get a little stressful making sure you have the best top 5 possible. I never want to overlook anyone who deserves it, but I think that could see us with everyone being included and then things would just get crazy.

Well after four days of watching entries come in and thinking each time, I'm sure it will become clearer as I go. Well it didn't, this was the hardest week of SGL to judge and I have a feeling our entrants will only be turning up the heat further in the coming weeks!

This week may have sent me a little loopy in the long run, but for the best possible reasons. It's good for the SGL judges to be left in a corner rocking back and forth with the occasional uncontrollable tick, picking at their natty un-kept hair hoping some clarity will come to see which entry to put where!

So without further delays here is my judges top 5 selection for SGL week 3!

First Place:

@elliotjgardner - Sonic Groove Live Week 3 - Sleep - Azure Ray (Cover)

Ohhhhh you just start and immediately I know I love it, you have such an incredible voice and just how to use it to amazing effect! I was so thrilled to see you enter SGL, it's been too long since I heard you and I am just so stoked you joined us and shared this brilliant entry.

Your playing is as always just perfection, not a missed note, the perfect mix so the guitar doesn't overpower your vocals. Just all round bloody brilliant execution of this song, I hadn't heard it before but I must say brilliant song selection and delivery!

You have such a velvety tone to your voice, that just brings this beautiful warmth to the words and meaning of the lyrics. I close my eyes and I am transported to what I envision the film clip would be, this song makes me see things dude O_O lol.

Not to mention your vocal range and agility are just kick ass, I love hearing you performing especially when you add stunning little vocal runs that add so much body to the melody.

I just love a raw performance a singer and guitar, just like a chill hang out session at a mates place round a fire with a beer. That is just complete and utter perfection and exactly what I want, but also what I think shows the true skill and ability level of entrants.

It's easy to make things look flashy in post adding effects and tweaking things, but its the raw simplistic beauty of a killer performance that needed no influence to be its awesome self that just kills me!

This is what I do this job for, SGL might be new but I've been reviewing music for years and it's entries that just shine on their own that really make my day. I am so thrilled to have you with us, you really didn't fail to impress on your first week and I will happily keep harassing you for more entries in the future :P

Second Place:

@davidsuarezms - Sonic Groove Live Week 3 - "Felicidad" (Original composition on guitar) by @davidsuarezms

Well here we have another truly incredible performance, you are a perfect example to people who think instrumentals can't win. Pfft perform like this and I care very little if there is a voice included in the entry, this was so brilliant it just had no need for vocals... It can stand alone in all it's glory!

This song has so much involved throughout it, it really is hard to find the words to break down the music into bite sized bits of awesome. But I would like to mention the sheer variety of textures you have used throughout this performance, it was incredible to hear you transition from section to section with this entry.

You manage to convey emotion so intensely and beautifully throughout this performance, I was just blown away by how it all came together so perfectly. This was just such an amazing display of different techniques used to create different effects and you just bought them all together with such grace, it's really amazing to look at the composition and think how long this must have take to create.

Your skill is clear as day, it looks as though the guitar is an extension of your arms. It's a part of you and you know how to make it sing, and sing it did - this entry just was a brilliant display of perfect mastery of your chosen weapon!

I am just hooked on this entry, you did such an amazing performance you have me completely hooked and I can't wait to hear more and soon!

Third Place:

@luisferchav - Sonic Groove Live Week 3 - (Cover) Patrick Wilson- Broken

Ohhhhh Luis you melted my stone cold heart here my friend, just sooo gentle and stunningly beautiful. It's the fact that what your doing is soft and gentle but the impact is epic, it's such a contradiction of emotions.

A song like this can fall flat if not delivered properly, I am thrilled to say you do not have that issue in this performance. In fact you use it as a method to entrance the listener, I felt almost caught of guard and then swept up by the current.

You have created an amazing sound, with such graceful ebbs and flows. It has an amazing amount of build that goes to this amazing place of supreme power and control, you have a breathtaking ability and you know how to use it to full effect.

I sit here humbled and in awe of the perfection of an entry like this, filled with emotion and passion. It is centered and balanced, the music is perfection with the lyric and melody and you conveyed it with stunning perfection.

I love hearing your vocal run's, showing the control and complexity in such a gentle and emotional piece. It was hard to not be transported when listening, I struggled so much writing this review wanting to go back and watch your performance instead of listening and writing :P

Just incredible hun, you kicked some serious ass and I was just blown away AGAIN! Ffs man you make this hard lol, but I wouldn't want it any other way and I better see more soon.... don't make me crack the whip ;)

Fourth Place:

@p4ragon - Sonic Groove Live Week 3 Cover Seven Devils - Florence and the Machine

Wow just Wow! Like holy freakin wow! Being a singer I have to say I am just loving the way you presented and performed that song, you have a really amazing voice and it comes through so clear with that performance.

This was a truly breathtaking performance and entry, it's honestly a little hard to take it all in at once it is just that epic! I was both hooked and blown away by you in the same instant, which is an interesting conflict I have to say.

You chose an amazing song, I hadn't heard before but I have to say wowsas you just nailed it in every conceivable way! You display truly fantastic vocal range and control, but better yet you convey emotion and passion through your vocals as well.

I love love love those phenomenal harmonies, it really took things to a whole new level with this performance which was already incredible. I am just so thrilled to have found you, I can safely say you have a new fan and I really really hope to see and hear more and soon!

Fifth Place:

@eugelys - Sonic Groove Live | Week #3 | Stay with me (Cover Sam Smith) by Eugelys

Firstly I think you played that guitar perfectly, you didn't miss a note kept on beat the entire time. Personally I find it super difficult to keep time when playing a guitar, so I tip my hat to you.

Now for my favorite part your singing, well just wow you took it and just smashed it. You have a beautiful tone and clarity to your voice when you sing, it's really just stunning. You have a fantastic use of range and vocal control displayed throughout this performance, it was just breathtaking to listen and sing along with you.

I absolutely adored your little message in your post about playing the guitar, but I have to say your entry was brilliant and I loved every moment of it. You actually performed the song, connecting with the emotion and message contained within the lyric.

It was all around a kick ass entry, you have a lovely voice and great playing. I am just thrilled to see you join us and I really look forward to hearing more from you in the weeks to come!

You have one of the most emotive voices I have ever heard, not to mention your music and lyrics are just breathtaking because of it.

Well my friend you just keep on upping the game big time, I absolutely loved seeing your feet (please note no freakin clue if and when you missed a note this week lmao). The entire performance just felt fluid and controlled, I am constantly blown away by just how physical playing the organ is. I am adoring the classical music (I danced as a young girl so classical music was a weekly feature, but of late less so) so it's really nice to have unique and amazing performances to just relax and enjoy. Keep it up!

@origin1618 - Llorona

@origin1618, @laveroarmas, @paomota, @eduardocdp, @llovera, @fioalexa and @betaniagmusic, you are all truly incredible musicians and I am still in shock from last week. Then you go and drop this little miracle on us again, just another brilliant performance, fantastic song choice and those vocals are just bloody brilliant again taking things to a whole new level.

You are all brilliant and I am so thrilled you have joined us once more this week, can I just quickly say I think having the vocalists stand has helped the mixing considerably. It is so much easier to hear you all clearly and what's more I think it helped for those intense power house moments where you are all belting it out.

@laveroarmas I loved the moment you absolutely smashed out that power packed few lines, you really came into your own in that moment. You owned that performance and just kicked some serious ass!

@origin1618 you had some truly amazing moments, displaying phenomenal vocal control and range. Just a stunning performance on every level, with just breathtaking vocals I couldn't get enough of.

@paomota again I was beyond stoked to hear you when you really belted out the tune, it was truly an amazing performance.

Then to end with that fantastic layered vocals were just absolute perfection, you guys are bloody brilliant and I am becoming such a massive fan of your music! I will always want more from you all <3

@lk666 - Inside My Soul

Oh man you are just kicking ass lately, I am loving your voice so much and as always your playing is the perfect compliment. I was so drawn to your entry this week with all my struggles I knew one thing for certain, I must include this entry in some capacity.

You have such emotional and haunting songs, that just inspire and create a mood you can't ignore. There is a hopefulness trickled throughout but still so wrought with emotion and passion, it's hard to not get caught up in the moment. Just another brilliant performance man, I loved every single second of it and really hope we keep hearing your amazing originals <3

There you have it guys another truly breathtaking week of performances for SGL! I was truly blown away by the caliber of our entrants, we have some serious competition going on here. But I love seeing the comments from entrants to one and other in support of their music and that my friends is what SGL is all about.
