Global Warming and Climate Change || Save the World

Hello everyone, Hope you are having a good day ...

We all noticed that the climate is changing drastically, our world is getting warmer day by day. If you consider the past few years, you will realize how much the entire climate of the world has been changing and still ongoing. My father is an officer of the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and climate, Dhaka Bangladesh. So basically he knows more than me about this issue and sometimes discussed it with me. Me, as an architecture, I always try to follow the rules of Green Architecture, try to work with eco-friendly products in fact many architects now design according to climate considerations.

Thanks to @upmewhale for this awesome topic and for giving me a chance to write something from my own perspective.

I and my dad always talk about the weather and current situation because this is one of the topics I love to hear from him. Obviously he is working for 40 years so he knows everything about this issue, from my perspective.

Climate Change :

Climate change is one of the biggest problems in the world. As I have already mentioned that if we observe the weather change of the past few years, surely we will see the drastic change in the climate. Increase the amount of Carbon dioxide, deforestation, burning fossils, pollutions all are the reasons for Global Warming. Ozone layer is getting thinner and the earth is warming.

I wanna write some of my perspectives and examples on this topic. Well, in 2018, here in Ukraine, the winter was snowy cold. It was dry, no rain, just wind, and snow that's all. The lowest temperature was approx -17 degrees celsius, and the highest was 2-degree celsius in winter. Now, in 2019, rarely snowfall, much warmer, gloomy rainy season, it felt like it's not winter, winter was on its way. The lowest temperature was -15 degrees Celsius and the highest was 8 degrees celsius. See, here is the change, the whole European climate has changed and warmer now. In 2019 duration of Fall was lengthy than 2018 and Summer was very hot than expected.

So, by observing my surroundings, I understood that this climate change is happening because of Global warming and The Greenhouse effects.

Summer is hotter and Winter is warmer...

Global Warming/ Greenhouse Effects:

We all are familiar with Global warming and Greenhouse effects more or less but we know. Carbon dioxide is increasing because of deforestation, burning fuels, and fossils. There are many reasons for the increasing amount of Carbon dioxide. As a result, the ozone layer is destroying and the world temperature is increasing, Arctic Sea Ice is melting and the sea level is rising. For more details, you can check here.

Now, due to this global warming and because of climate change, disaster is happening, the forest is burning, tsunami, cyclone is occurring. Last year, Amazon was on fire even Australia was on fire.

I personally feel we, the humans are directly or indirectly involved with this situation. We are destroying forests, making cities. Rapid amount of industrialization, environmental pollution, not having proper knowledge of waste disposal, hazardous substances escaping from factories and warehouses all are the reasons for producing Carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases.

Obviously, the governments of every country are taking steps as well as some organizations are working on these issues. COP ( Conference of the Parties) is working on it and every year they organize a meeting where different states parties gather and take decisions.

Different organizations are working every single day and trying to find a solution and want to save the world.

What can be done:

Major cause of global warming is Carbon dioxide and we have to work on that. We all know trees give out Oxygen and take out Carbon dioxide.

So a huge number of tree plantations are important in fact mandatory. If we cut one try, we should plant at least five trees. Plus we should be careful of the variation of trees before planting.
Deforestation has to be stopped.

As I have already mentioned architects are working on green architecture and eco-friendly materials.

We have to provide sufficient green space and should focus on the environment before design.
Should work on sustainable reforestation projects.

As this climate change issue is global issues and a large scale so government should take some steps. We are heating our atmosphere and it needs to cool down. The main culprit in global warming is carbon in the form of CO2, so it has to be reduced and that's why the trees are important.

When trees die, they left carbon on the atmosphere so here comes the" biochar " which is very helpful for the burning fossils.

Use of the solar panel, recycling waste, and energy, saving energy can be helped.
Vehicles emit a large amount of CO2 so it should have to be controlled.
Awareness...

My Perspective:

I personally feel awareness is really important and steps should have to be taken constantly. We can't change everything in one day but slowly we can improve the situation. Obviously, I appreciate those who are working on environmental pollution and save the world. If every single person takes small steps, we can do something.

Together we can change the world.
