October 12, 2019--Practice Blog

I had a nice Saturday. A lazy morning until about 9:00 am when my wife and I decided to go out to a restaurant for breakfast. I had a bagpipe lesson at 10:30, then went to the church to practice for tomorrow's service. Next, my wife and I went to take care of some shopping. A Lebanese-Syrian church was hosting a Syrian lunch and we enjoyed that. I worked on somethings around the house that needed fixing and practiced for my piano recital for about two hours. I used my Belgian Siphon Coffee maker to make my wife some amazing coffee--picture below. Our dogs have been keeping us busy, as the curiosity can be seen by the youngest one in the picture above. It is going to be early to bed tonight.

On the organ, I ran through the Dorian Fugue a couple of times to make sure I could play it and Dibley's Come, O Thou Traveler Unknown. The hymns for tomorrow are straight forward, but I did want to run through them. On the piano, I practiced through the program once at half speed, and then at performance speed.

Now I am off to make hamburgers--I found a recipe for Turkish Wet Hamburgers that we absolutely love.
