May 28, 2020--Practice blog in the time of the virus

A pretty productive day. It began with a shake for breakfast and then did some work on a correspondence course and finished up the third of six quizzes. After lunch, my wife and I went to the other side of town to practice organ and get some groceries. Came home and found out about an online professional development opportunity out of Los Angeles called SongFest for $50 to audit the course. So watched the first video in the collection. It is going to be worth it. Made dinner of Spaghetti and meat sauce. Now watching Father Brown and Death in Paradise on Iowa Public Television.

On the organ, I practiced and recorded the third movement of Couperin's Mass for the convents (see above) and put in some time on BWV 631 and 632. I also practiced the prelude for this Sunday.

On the piano, I practiced an accompaniment for Liusinghe piu care by Handel, and several Mendelssohn Songs without words. Also worked on Chopin's Op. 7 no. 1 and 2 and tried to start memorizing Schumann's Traumerei.
