August 29, 2020--Practice blog in the time of the virus

A nice lazy day. Got some things done that I wanted to, and had a bit of fun on another "project". The day began with cinnamon rolls for breakfast and going to the church to practice. Spent part of the time discussing a website issue with my department head, but got some quality time in. Went to Bob Roe's (a local eatery) for lunch. Then came home. My wife purchased a couple of 'mums for the planters. I got to plant them. My Dungeons and Dragons group has begun to play the Acquisitions Incorporated subplots for our game, so we have been having fun building a "business of acquisition" with our characters--we made a sign and a jingle. So, I recorded the jingle today using Garage Band on my phone and uploaded it to Cakewalk on my computer to finish putting it together. Took way too much time, but I was having fun. I then practiced organ at home for a couple minutes before working on rewiring the organ pedals for my home instrument (got 9 rewired, 18 to go).

On the organ, I worked on my last prelude and postlude for the church I have been working at for 10 years. And the hymns for tomorrow. I also spent some time working on Bach's BWV 644 for next week's SOOP. I spent time at home working on Kauffmann's Herzliebster Jesu.
