Sea Rocks at Sunset · Rocas marinas al atardecer
For a long time, I like to go to the coast of the island at sunset to take long-exposure photographs. My photographic equipment, without extravagant filters, is only suitable for this type of photography in low light conditions when the sun has already set, and I can play with long exposures without fear of burning photographic negatives. In the gaze of an islander there is always the sea and I think that because of this, going out in the sunset in search of a good photo has become almost a daily ritual.
The volcanic rocks, with their capricious forms, seem incredibly attractive to me and the blurred trails of the waves crashing against them are a very frequent subject in my photographic archive.

Desde hace mucho tiempo, me gusta ir al atardecer a la costa de la isla a tomar fotografías de larga exposición. Mi equipo fotográfico, sin filtros extravagantes, solo es adecuado para este tipo de fotográfias en condiciones de poca luz, cuando el sol ya se ha puesto, y puedo jugar con largas exposiciones sin temor a quemar los negativos fotográficos. En la mirada de un isleño siempre está el mar y creo que por ello, salir en la puesta de sol en busca de una buena foto se ha convertido en casi un ritual diario.
Las rocas volcánicas, con sus caprichosas formas, me parecen increiblemente atractivas y las estelas borrosas de las olas chocando contra ellas, son un tema muy frecuente en mi archivo fotográfico.

Nice long exposure - I like to shoot such long exposures very much myself, but unfortunately there are seldom waves on our lakes ;)
On your photo I like, that you still can see the texture of the waterflow, but the long exposure has also produced this foggy effect.

On long exposures, you can have lots of different results depending on time and movement.
As you can see, this exposure was only 1.6 seconds because the sea was very wild. If you see the pics from this post, the sea was very calm and the exposure was 13 seconds.
Really is one of my favourite technique. I will share more very soon. I have a lot of more long exposure pics in my archive. 😊
I guess you can take a very long exposure in your lake to obtain good results, but you will need very low light. I'll be waiting for your pics. Thanks for your comment!

I have a lot of long exposures on my bog here, but mainly photos from streams and waterfalls.
Because our lakes don't have real waves, unless it is really stormy weather, I use long exposure photography to smooth the water at sunrises an sunsets. Maybe I should try to photograph in a storm ;)
I am using ND filters instead of low light ;)

Ok, so try it. Take your camera, your tripod and find a place with moving water.
