The secret of a man who pleased God

Psalm 138
Thanksgiving for Jehovah's favor
David's Psalm
138 I will praise you with all my heart;
Before the gods I will sing.
2 I will bow down to your holy Temple
and I will praise your name
for your mercy and your faithfulness,
because you have enlarged your name
And your word about all things.
3 The day I cried, you answered me;
You strengthened the vigor of my soul.
4 All the kings of the earth will praise you, Jehovah,
because they have heard the sayings of your mouth.
5 They will sing of the ways of Jehovah,
because the glory of Jehovah is great,
6 For Jehovah is exalted, and attends to the humble,
but the haughty looks from afar.
7 When I am in anguish,
you vivify me;
against the wrath of my enemies you extend your hand
And your right hand saves me.
8 Jehovah will fulfill his purpose in me.
Your mercy, Jehovah, is forever;
Do not forsake the work of your hands!

In the Bible we find several men who left the world that is to say the works they practiced in the world to please God and follow him but the Bible speaks of someone special who pleased God in "such a way" that God called him "went according to the heart of God"

and the apostle Paul in one of his letters specifically in the book of events remembers him as one of the greatest men in history not for having earthly things but for being that person who came to please God in a special way which he described as the person whom God called "man according to my heart" (Acts 13.22; 1 S 13, 14).

Of all the men who pleased God there was something unusual that made him different from others and obviously it was that David was called by God himself "they go according to my heart."

David was passionate for God, he enjoyed himself day and night in his presence and cried so that his soul would never forget his creator as well when he felt his feet slip he raised his hands to the sky and declared and shouted at the four winds that his help came from Jehovah acknowledging his supremacy and power in the universe as his creator and this really was not very common among men because his peculiar and intimate way of relating to God broke all the schemes in history.

David's secret was that intimacy he maintained with his creator and the daily battles he fought, not with his strength, for he repeated once and a thousand times that his strength was in God.

David did not depart from God and even when he sinned he came to God with humility recognizing his sin and this really made him special before God.

Psalm 51
51 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your mercy;
According to the multitude of your piety, erase my rebellions.
2 Wash me more and more of my evil,
And cleanse me of my sin.
3 Because I recognize my rebellions,
And my sin is always before me.
4 Against you, against you I have only sinned,
And I have done evil in front of your eyes;
To be recognized right in your word,
And considered pure in your judgment (RVR1960)

How humble David's to recognize that only against God had he sinned! and he needed his forgiveness to continue because he knew well that if he did not, he was lost and everything ends for him.

In this same chapter in verse 10 David implores God to erase his wickedness and create in him an integral and right heart to serve him and begged God in those moments of tribulations and spiritual nudity not to be discarded or taken away by his holy spirit. of their life.
"10 Believe in me, O God, a clean heart,
And renew a right spirit within me.
11 Do not throw me away from you, (RVR1960)

All this marked David's difference and the humility with which he harbored along the way allowed him to obtain the grace of God and be chosen as king of Israel.

Today you and I can make a difference and intimidate with God in the depths of our soul and spirit with humility recognize our sins before him and seek him wholeheartedly with trembling and fear of losing his holy spirit.
