The Recycling Park: Reusable Art #7

(Edited)

It's good to see you at the end of a really tiring week (not that the weekend seems a lot more promising). This is the 7th and last part from the visit to the Recycling Park in Thessaloniki, a place where you get incentives for being green. In the first post of this series I mentioned that the class I had last year visited the park and took a whole lot of plastic bottles to recycle there. In return the children got 0.03€/bottle and managed to earn a little money to buy materials for their Art class.

Of course the art exhibition at the Park helped them find inspiration!

It's amazing what you can do with just a little rubbish and a lot of creativity!

I hope you enjoyed at least some of the pieces shown here.

See you tomorrow!

Thank you so much for your time!

Until my next post,
Steem on and keep smiling, people!

When my eldest was in kindergarten in NYC, she had a fantastic teacher who had set up an Invention Center. The families sent in stuff to stock the center with, which was mostly stuff we would all have thrown away, and the kids made stuff very much like the photos above. I loved it, except that stuff I would have thrown away as junk came back home, and it was no longer junk! I still have some of them in an inaccessible closet. This post makes me want to dig that stuff out just to show you.

This is so great! In another school I worked at a couple of years ago the Art teacher did the same and we organised an exhibition at the end of the year to show the parents what the kids had made.
If you find those pieces, please show us some photos 😃
