BLACKISH- Tv Series
This is a TV series created by Kenya Barris, starring Anthony Anderson as Andre Johnson (Dre) as the main character.
This is a comedy family series about a man(Andre Johnson) trying to gain grounds in the society with his higher middle-class family. Dre is married to Bow Johnson a mixed-race African American woman with four kids Zoey Johnson, Andre Johnson Junior and the twins, Diane and Jack Johnson. As the series progress, a fifth child was added into the family named Divante Johnson.
Despite living in a rich neighborhood filled with mostly white people, Dre still tries to impact his family with the black history and culture. There have been some rumours that this show is a racist but it isn't. Whoever takes his/her to watch this show we know that blackish is just a fun movie about the Africa American culture and family.
In this show, we got to see the daily activities of a family and how parents try to put their children in the right part. The struggles of a child progressing from childhood to teenhood and finally into adults on both the part of the parents and children.
Blackish made me to come in terms that parents are not always right but they always have the best intention of their children in heart. This is indeed a lively TV series and if I am asked to rate it, I will certainly give it 8/10.
