Everyone has a hobby that can be developed into a passion and expertise, so that they can provide income. However, not everyone can easily find their passions. After reading the book “Ikigai - The Secret to a Happy and a Long Life for Japanese People” by Hector Garcia & Aleber Liebermann it left me stunned.

When we feel we don't have a goal, how come we don't seem successful, have a passion, but how come it seems difficult to achieve, in the end we feel like ourselves who are unsuccessful, inferior, ashamed and lazy to meet people. Is it possible because we've overdosed all kinds of explanations about the importance of passion. It is as if there are reasons for being unhappy and feeling like a failure, which can make us fall into a crisis of self-existence. Then, this "Ikigai" seems to be born as a neutralizer for all kinds of spices about passion earlier.

There was a time when I felt 'passion' was such a heavy word. Maybe you often see this word whether it's tucked into all kinds of motivational seminars, self-development, self-improvement. Whatever. But at the same time, it often comes down to being successful, it seems as if passion has to be completely pursued. You will be willing to be tired but tired you will find it fun because it's "your passion" anyway.

If passion is often associated with a long-term goal, then ikigai is a simple goal that is the reason we get out of bed or as simple as the reason why we don't kill ourselves.

Suicide is a sin, but when we think about committing suicide it is a sign that there is a feeling of dissatisfaction in our life. But what keeps us from executing the act of suicide or coming to the realization that the thought of dying is inappropriate? Is it because there are families left behind, responsibilities that have not been completed, feel that the deeds of worship are not enough to meet death? Whatever the reason, that is your ikigai. Something that already exists within us.
Conclusion:

I recommend this book to anyone. Especially for people who feel tired with their life. I personally felt at peace when I read this book and started trying to enjoy being busy with a more pleasant perspective, an activity that we can basically enjoy every day. It feels like life is no longer about pursuing a passion that is full of ambition but rather about small, gradual achievements so that our days are increasingly filled with satisfaction even though they seem small.

Thank you for read my post and enjoy your time for everyone.

Warm Regards
