Today I would like to look at Psalm 18 verse 2

2)The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

There is no end or limit to God's protection and love for His children. We can always go to Him in times of need.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

May God Bless you.

Soli Deo Gloria

I love how the bible gives us depth beyond description, it truly is God's living Word.

We look at a verse like this and we see imagery of protection, defense, and safety. But then you see verses like Matthew 16:17-19, which outlines the power in us, and standing for us, stating clearly that the devil is the one who needs defenses, but that those defenses will not stand.

Matthew 16:17-19 English Standard Version (ESV)

17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. 18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock[a] I will build my church, and the gates of hell[b] shall not prevail against it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed[c] in heaven.”

In God we have a loving father who protects, and defends us, and a power which lives in us, and by which God's perfect will, will be accomplished, this is why "It is finished". His power is complete, is victory is final.

Does it mean our lives are easy? No, but it does mean we have victory, joy, and life everlasting by Christ's accomplishments and grace.
