Chaka Demus & Pliers were the first to place three consecutive songs in the British Single Charts. All three songs became Top Hits.
Chaka Demus and Pliers were already known as solo artists in the dancehall scene before they formed a duo in 1990. Their first single Tease Me, released on 31 May 1993, was 15 weeks in the UK Charts and reached number 3. The longplayer Tease Me was awarded platinum and was number 1 in the Album Charts, followed by She Don't Let Nobody on 6 September 1993 and Twist and Shout on 6 December 1993.
Reached first place and was 14 weeks in the UK Charts
Reached third place and was 15 weeks in the UK Charts
Reached fourth place and was 10 weeks in the UK Charts
In between there was an older song, Murder She Wrote, produced by Sly and Robbie from the Year 1992, which only reached 27th place and was in the charts for 4 weeks.
