Serenity

Serenity. This is the theme for this week's @qurator's Photo Quest. And what a cool theme! Although it's kind of a difficult choice. I can find serenity in so many things: just put me in the middle of nature, and that's it. So easy.

The difficulty here them is... what to choose? What setting does feel more like serenity to me? I believe that it will depend on my current mood. And the weather.

So here is my choice. A very recent one. And one that brings great memories.

The first trip with friends after the confinement. Moments before a great dinner. The last colours of a beautiful sunset. And in one of my favourite places in Portugal. Serenity.

Sunsets and serenity probably walk side by side most of the time. Al least for me, especially in a nature setting.

The colours, the fading light, all adds up to a feeling of peace and tranquility. Join that with the smell of sea, and the aroma of the rock roses that grow all around, and there you have it: serenity.

And no, no rock roses on this photo. But in what concerns a serene landscape, the scarce mediterranean vegetation here does the trick, together with the sun going down.
