Qurator's Photo Friday Competition #103 - Inle lake

The photo was taken at Inle Lake in Myanmar. I am at my «floating» hotel, Golden Island Cottage while taking the photo of the hills beyond the lake. The lake has stilt-house-villages, floating gardens and temples. The only means of transport is boat. The floating gardens where the Intha farmers grow flowers, tomatoes, fruit and other vegetables on long wooden trellises supported on floating mats. Incredible how they manage to use the lake as a garden.
