Yesterday, it seems many people are excited in our province as everyone are expecting that there will be no more community quarantine. It has been announced that our region was placed in "low risk" classification which community quarantine would be lifted. It could have been something that people has waited.

However, the local government wanted to extend but under General Community Quarantine. The governor has already announced that GCQ would be imposed, but there's another news that it would be "Modified Community Quarantine.

Coronavirus cases

The total of cases as of this writing is 4.26 million globally. Fatalities already reached 292k, while recoveries is now at 1.49 million. In the US, the total is alreadt 1.4 million, with fatalities over 83k, and recovered cases at 237k.

The number of cases here in the Philippines is still pretty high at 11,618, with 772 fatalities, and 2,251 recovered cases. There are two new cases in our province, from the towns of Sta. Barbara and Asingan.

Why Quarantine Wasn't Lifted

As I already mentioned, the local government asked from the national government to impose General Community Quarantine because of high cases of PUIs and PUMs. Then we are either under GCQ or Modified GCQ.

The two new cases of Covid19 has added an impact on the quarantine status in our province. One of the two new cases came from Tondo, Manila, one of the highest number of cases in the country. The question is how come that person is able to go back here in the province? It is just disappointing because it affects the whole population of certain places.

Truly heart wrenching. I can imagine expecting to be free then finding out you can't be released because one or two people messed up! So sorry to hear that mate.
