You noted rightly that one would always lose in the long run: followers, voters. One would even become viewed as a nuisance if they continue to post too many times a day.😄
Many already know the right way to go about these things but they go against it mainly for increased rewards, not knowing they're putting themselves at risk because it might back fire and you lose a lot of attention.

Trust me, I can't stand nuisances, up to a point that that I navigate to certain tags that I expect good contents, just to avoid certain posts that drains my energy and makes me not enjoy my curation time.
