Promoting Steem on Uptrennd and on Twitter
Uptrennd is a social platform that basically works like reddit but from indication, is primarily focused on content related to cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.I created a profile there and have linked up quite nicely with the Steem community there, getting views, upvotes and generally shilling Steem on the platform.

Twitter Activities
Promoting Steem on Twitter has been relatively easier thanks to certain initiatives championed by well meaning steemians from around the block.
I tweet and have interactive conversation from around the area. Sometimes I talk about Sports, blockchain tech or any other topic I deem fit but despite all that, it all turns out to be decent promotion for the Steem network.
In this period, I have been able to recruit a couple of people to the platform and also built friendships that help me every now and then.
Steem Promotion Activity
Promoting Steem is a collective effort and people like @stephenkendal @theycallmedan @ocd @clixmoney @jaynie and a host of others are constantly spreading the word about the platform. If you're on Twitter, please come join the party. All you have to do is include or follow either of #steem, #posh #steemit, and #steempeak tags to meet other Steemians there and keep the conversation flowing.

The idea is to interact with people without looking conspicuous. Talk about general stuff and make them know that you're not some creep trying to force cryptocurrency down their throat. I also advise sharing Steem posts that are about general topics and then subtly remind people how much the post earned.

I do not want to. I think that the Steem community should be on websites, which are using the Steem blockchain, and not on other websites. Steem users should be active on the Steem blockchain, communicating in the comment section. They are promoting, but what? Thousands of posts without real human comments? Because this is the truth nowadays. I do not understand and I do not want to understand why Steem users are active anywhere else (for example on Discord), but not on the Steem blockchain.
Oh well, it's social media and you don't necessarily have to be exclusive to one. Plus, I'm only just shilling Steem there and nothing more.
Also, I interact on interesting posts that come my way as well.

You are amongst the very few people, who interact with others on the Steem blockchain.
Nowadays most of the people do not interact with others on the Steem blockchain. Currently there is almost nothing to promote in my opinion. Most of the people focus only on their own blog posts, but they do not care about other people's blog posts.
The statistics are backing up my statement. There are 59 675 posts in the first week of 2020, but the average number of comments is only 3.38. The number of the daily active users are constantly decreasing (dropping/falling) since months.

We've had this conversation before and you pulled up this stat. I get conversations in my posts every now and then when I make something super interesting.
Lots of.people are more comfortable with dick riding whales because of upvote than they are with normal conversations.
@xplosive our members are dedicated steemians and they keep promoting steem what ever you say about it. If @belemo is promoting steem in uptrend, I'm also promoting it in lbry. Instead of being negative in most of your comments, please look at steem positively. Find something positive in it and help us promote it. This is what we do in @dcooperation , our goal is to collaborate with other crypto communities ! Open your mind and more people will comment you. Not by compllaining we reach success , but by building. Or help us build or save our time please. We already had attacks by trolls trying to make us hate steem, but they didn't succeed in that and no one will !
