Presearch Keyword Staking Update and Question

avatar

It's been about a month of keyword staking for me over at Presearch and I thought I'd give a quick update and ask for your advise. Here is a quick reminder of what keyword staking is from Presearch.

Keyword Staking is a term for committing your PRE tokens to a specific word or term.
If you stake the most tokens to a given keyword, your ad will show up when someone searches for that term on Presearch / Dsearch.
You still maintain ownership of your PRE while they are staked, but if you choose to 'unstake' them from a given term, or if someone stakes more than you, your ad will no longer be shown.
During the initial launch phase of the platform, estimated to last until January 2021, there will be no cost for any traffic you receive through your ad.
That's right: no cost per click, no cost per impression, and no cost per action. Just real, quality traffic from more than 1.3m Presearch users who are cryptocurrency enthusiasts and internet power users. Enjoy!

So it's basically a way to put up an advertisement with your referral link to a certain place that shows up when a user searches for your staked word. Here are two of mine.

I have "buy litecoin" with my Coinbase referral link and "groupon" with my Groupon referral link. You can see in the chart the amount of times each term was searched along with how many times someone clicked my link (which is not often).

Here is what the search results for "groupon" looks like on Dsearch (the Presearch search engine).

Not many people clicking that first result ad link and I think I know why. As a former google user I have trained myself to not click the first ad link but to scroll down to the first real(?) result of a search.

I don't know about you but in this example I would never click that first ad link. I know they go to the same place but for some reason I have been trained not to click that ad link.

I think this may be what is happening with the keyword staking ads. I know a month is a small sample size and I will keep it going for now but it is a little odd to me that in 100 searches not a single person has clicked the first result in a search for Groupon. So I will just keep on keeping on with this for the time being but I feel this is possibly an opportunity wasted and I wonder if there are different terms I should stake (almost all the crypto terms that you just thought of are taken ;))?

I've done a couple of posts about Presearch and keyword staking if you want to learn more about it.

And don't forget, if you are still using goolge to search you are being watched (and monetized) regardless of choice so if you want a clean search not influenced by dollars or tracked by watchers sign up for Presearch and earn FREE CRYPTO for searching.

Have a great weekend my friend!!

Yeah, I like the idea and the team seems to still be actively working so that's a good sign. I just hope more users keep showing up.

I think presearch is a defunct business. Most users are probably only in for the rewards, plus seeing how little views your ads have makes me wonder how many users this even has. Can't be many, and staking should be a net loss I guess

I'm not sure I would call it defunct (yet) as they are rolling out new features still but I do agree that there are probably not that many users.
