Day-773-Freewrite Monday Nautical Language

Aft, stern, and anchor's away is the extent of my nautical language vocabulary. I've never owned a boat, but a buddy from high school bought one and we would go to the lake and tool around. It was fun once we launched it, but it was quite a production getting it in the water.

Ruby – Part 1: Crystals

*Ruby is not my birthstone, but it is my very favorite gemstone! I dedicate this post to @silversaver888, who recently asked if I had a ruby in my collection of stones and said that is her birthstone. On the Moh's Scale, diamond is rated the hardest material, at a solid 10. A few other minerals come in at 9.5, but do not lend themselves to being made into gemstones, except perhaps Moissanite, which can be lab-synthesized and was introduced to the jewelry market in 1998. *

Trekking Adventure

Let me take you back to that time when my daughter and I thought we'd try some outdoor adventure. Of course, at that time, we thought that this particular activity was already extreme. It was actually just the second time we were going out of town. This was in Subic, Zambales.
