PowerHouseCreatives Contest | A story to tell

SOURCE

@zord189 continues to propose contests for members of #powerhousecreatives. In the previous contest, he had to show his feet; And say that there were feet everywhere: Long, small, thin, chubby and mine, lol.

On this occasion, they will star in our hands; And that brought to my mind the following story:

Once upon a time, in a German village, lived a family a little large. Gold mines and handicraft making were the only way of production to support their 18 small children

Despite the shortage in which they lived, two of them had a talent for drawing and painting and dreamed of studying to develop it much more. As they knew they could not count on family support, they decided that luck would decide who would go to study and who would work in the mines to pay for the studies. After finishing his studies and starting to sell his works of art, he would pay for the studies he stayed at home.

Albrecht Durer studied for 4 years and his brother, from that town, paid for his studies with the fruit of his work. The skill with the brush, made him stand out in such a way that he surpassed his teachers, becoming very famous and of course, he began to generate good sums of money for each painting he sold.

Years later, graduated with honors and juicy earnings decide to return to meet the other half of the deal made with his brother. The family, all excited by the arrival of the successful son, organizes a dinner in his honor and being all at the table, Albrecht standing before everyone proposes a toast saying:

"Now, my brother, it's your turn; Go to the city and pursue your dreams! I'll take care of everything.

His brother, still with tears in his eyes, goes to him, and touching his cheek he replies:

"My dear brother, it's late for me. My hands hurt a lot; In these years of working in the mines, the bones of my hands have broken many times. Arthritis has flagellated my right hand so much that, with much effort, I held the cup while making the toast. It is now impossible to work with the compass, with the pen or the brush. No, my dear brother! It's late for me "

In 1508, Albrecht Durer, drew his brother's hands; A beautiful work of art that reminds the world that, thanks to his brother, he was able to achieve his dream.

My hands may not be as virtuous as Albrecht's or as battered as his brother's, but they are the only ones I have. With them, I have been able to get ahead, both in Venezuela and abroad. They have been with me to elaborate on the publications that I make, as well as the dishes that I elaborate on for my family.

Do you know? I made "granola" so that my wife could have a better breakfast and help her with her weight loss goal; Something that all women, or at least 99.99%, looking for passionately. You may publish this recipe that is rich in fiber.

I would like to continue writing about my hands, but with them I must work to move forward with my projects and my life.

My hands look like a bouquet of carrots because of too many years training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! I can still type here though so that is what counts.

Great story/contest combo post. Awesome to have you as part of PHC

A great story that I haven't heard before. Very poignant.

At least the worn-out brother got to enjoy his successful brother's earned wealth, and the knowledge that he'd done his part to help make him successful. The painting of his brother's hands was his thanks to him.
