How am I supposed to write a post about my dream; when I usually wake up forgetting about it unless it was a nightmare or if it was a work dream due to stress. I decided to let it be and if a dream did come along and if it was something that I remembered; then I'll pin it down.

Strangely, I had this dream two nights back and I recall having this similar dream months or years ago. It was a dream about my old house back home. My first ever double storey landed property which my hubby and I owned. We stayed there for more than ten years before we finally sold it and moved into a condominium.

This house had many memories; both happy and sad. Though that wasn't the dream I had.

My dream had people in it, my current Boss and also a workmate. In my dream, they were house guests to my home; needing a place to stay and I had offered them to crash at my home. Bringing them around to show the upstairs where the bedrooms were and showing them where they would be sleeping for the night.

Apart from that, I also brought them to see the outdoors of my home. From the bedrooms, there was a huge balcony with a ceiling to ground sliding door. Opening the doors, it leads to a huge public walkway. One end of the walkway leads to the beach... yeah! I know ! How could the upstairs of a house have a balcony with a walkway that leads to a beach. Not to mention that along the walkway, there is a huge abandon shipwreck right in front of my bedroom balcony. Large trees covers the ship that no sun could ever penetrate through it, making it feel eerie.

At the end of the walkway was the beach, filled with people swimming away. There was so much laughter and joy, I did wonder how would I ever sleep or have any privacy in my home.

And, at that same moment, every time, I would wake up. I have no idea why I have this dream over and over again; does it have an underlining meaning which I have yet to decipher. Well, I've been told that dreams have meaning and there are those who can explain it for me. Yet again, I prefer to leave things as it is.

This dream may not be as interesting as how others have but this is indeed genuine for me. So, if anyone of you out there is a dream decipher, I MIGHT consider to hear your explanation.

I love challenges and interpreting meaning in writing, especially in poetry. I'll try to make connections. It seems to me that something about you is anchored in the past, so you return to your old home in dreams. These days, you feel exposed, more so than you would like. There are people who inspire you with confidence and to whom you could show those remnants of life from the past that have yet to be resolved, but a great fear prevails to open your doors and show your true self without armor, that's why the great ship appears on the catwalk outside your house, which is your fort and refuge. There is something old and unhealed inside you, something from the past continues to bother you in dreams because it is the only space you left unlocked in your mind and that because the dreams are free, you can not cloister. The mind has no control over them. Check out what might have gone unresolved in the first few years of married life. In the sea, usually swim against the current and saw many people doing so in your dream, that may be a clue, what you looked or felt the energy that was moving in those moments, you did not like. It seems you want more peace than you have, more natural flow than you struggle.
It is exciting to penetrate the world of dreams, they contain messages and we have to unravel them to achieve meanings that belong to us because they are teachings that sometimes go unnoticed. We came into the world to learn and share, any loose ends can lose information necessary for our growth. That is why we have to pay attention to dreams. It is our soul's connection to ourselves and to the world.

Wow ... @zeleiracordero, you are interpreting this in a manner that I would never have thought so. Especially about the exposure and unresolved part in my past. About how the ship appears to be my fort and refuge. I never actually thought of it like that. I felt the ship was more a darkness in between the sunlight, beach & sun. It looked pretty much like it in my dream.

But, a big thanks for spending the time and thoughts to share this with me. I never really thought so much about it because I always prefer to leave the past as it is. Sometimes, maybe it's best to leave bygones bygones .. no ?
