Update on Medium Ninja-Marketing + Stats

I started ramping up my efforts to market HIVE to external audiences over the last couple of weeks and so far I have been gaining a bit of traction on Twitter, but it's a slow grind. Tuesday I decided to try branching out into Medium and I didn't really have any expectations as I had never posted anything on that platform, but I think it could be worth pursuing as it's a complimentary type of platform with a blogging focused user-base and large technology and blockchain niches that could be a good source of new HIVE users.

In total, it's reporting that 106 people have at least clicked on and opened the article so far. The percentage of paid Medium members is significantly lower than non-paying members, but I think perhaps that could be a good thing. Maybe these unpaid readers are looking for a free, censorship-resistant alternative to Medium? It's probably too early to assume much, but one thing that is for sure is that the article is generating more traffic than I expected.

What I find most interesting is that, due to the centralized nature of Medium, I am able to track where the traffic is coming from. I believe that this indicates that my Twitter reach is definitely expanding, which is a good sign as I've been putting in significant effort there to market HIVE. I will also be able to track the traffic over time, so regardless of any of the current stats, this could be a good long term link that points people towards the HIVE blockchain whenever they search for HIVE or dig through the related tags on Medium.

Currently I'm working on devising new ways to onboard users and I'm claiming accounts and offering them to people on Twitter. I plan to keep using my free time on spreading the good word of HIVE and hopefully we can all find ways to help bring in new users. Are you guys currently working on any cool ninja-marketing strategies? Let's keep pushing and make HIVE bigger than STEEM ever was! Much love.

We need to remake this (I assume Steemit Inc made it?). It was used for a split second on steem and then was lost forever.

Hmmm, maybe someone like @zaxan could turn the green to red and swap out the STEEM/steemit for HIVE/peakd. He's got the skills, if he's got the time.

A good graphic can say alot and I remember how much this one spoke to me.

It would also be interesting to overlay the cost to run the blockchain. I do not know what the costs are but I have to assume Hive is on the cheaper side.

I'm working on creative projects and hosting / developing them out of hive.

I saw you onboarding people on twitter. I have had trouble using my resource credits to create accounts on beeme and hiveinvite.

It won't work for some reason.

If you go to your wallet on peakd, you can click on your HP and claim accounts that way. I have just been hoarding claim tokens and then I found out about hiveinvite, which uses the tokens I've claimed to let me make invites.
