"Let's drink and pour it again." Happy song. This refers to the first frame and is a kind of metaphor for the theater. Yes, we must return to the theater again. This time we watched the operetta The Bat by Austrian composer Johann Strauss (Jr.). But we will talk about the palace in which this took place.

"Выпьем и снова нальём." Весёлая песня. Это относится к первому кадру и является некоторой метафорой театра. Да, в театр надо снова возвращаться. В этот раз мы смотрели оперетту "Летучая мышь" австрийского композитора Иоганна Штрауса (младшего). Но речь пойдёт о дворце, в котором это происходило.

The Zinaida Yusupova Palace on Liteiny 42 combines a monument of architecture and a major cultural center of St. Petersburg. Here, in a building built in the middle of the 19th century in the style of Italian Renaissance and Baroque, there are excursions, classical music concerts, theater nights, exhibitions, symposiums, meetings of a very different nature.

Дворец Зинаиды Юсуповой на Литейном 42 объединил в себе памятник архитектуры и крупный культурный центр Петербурга. Здесь, в здании, построенном в середине XIX века в стилистике итальянского возрождения и барокко, проходят экскурсии, концерты классической музыки, театральные вечера, выставки, симпозиумы, встречи самого разного характера.

When we approached this palace, it was raining and it was already beginning to get dark. Therefore, I do not have my own photograph of this palace. But I will definitely make it and show it.

Когда мы подходили к этому дворцу, шёл дождик и уже начинало темнеть. Поэтому у меня нет своей фотографии этого дворца. Но я её ещё обязательно сделаю и покажу.

But I took a little picture inside this building. By the way, on the ground floor there is also an educational institution - the Institute of Foreign Economic Relations, Economics and Law.

Зато я немного пофотографировал внутри этого здания. Кстати говоря, на первом этаже также располагается учебное заведение - Институт внешнеэкономических связей, экономики и права.

I must admit, I was a little upset by the condition of this mansion. It was evident that there were no repairs for a long time and not everything was properly maintained. On the other hand, this made it possible to preserve the spirit of Time. Not always repairs are useful.

Должен признаться, я был немного огорчён состоянием этого особняка. Было видно, что тут давно не делались ремонты и не всё было ухожено надлежащим образом. С другой стороны, это позволило сохранить дух Времени. Далеко не всегда ремонты бывают полезны.

You can find a lot of official information on the Internet. Therefore, I just share my photos and thoughts.

The same chandelier on the side and bottom looks completely different. Colored lighting, in my opinion, was superfluous here, but the blue color created a secret.

Одна и та же люстра сбоку и снизу выглядит совершенно по-разному. Цветное освещение, на мой взгляд, тут было лишним, но синий цвет создавал тайну.

The main staircase looks great. This is perhaps the most well-groomed place in the entire palace.

Парадная лестница выглядит великолепно. Это, пожалуй, самое ухоженное место во всём дворце.

But I would not be myself if I had not found another ladder. This is a steel spiral staircase. One of the two, leading from the second floor to the attic. I could not get to the attic (very sorry). The door was locked. But even here I found the spirit of Time and was imbued with its taste.

Но я не был бы собой, если бы не нашёл другую лестницу. Это стальная винтовая лестница. Одна из двух, ведущая со второго этажа до самого чердака. На чердак я попасть не смог (очень жаль). Дверь была заперта. Но и тут я нашёл дух Времени и проникся его вкусом.

Yes. I completely forgot about the cellars of this mansion.

The operetta itself was beautiful. The artists had strong voices and the acoustics of the hall made it possible to enjoy them.
By the way, the hall itself is quite small. Below I will put some photos from the iPad and you can estimate its size.

Сама оперетта была прекрасна. У артистов были сильные голоса и акустика зала позволяла насладиться ими.
Кстати, сам зал довольно маленький. Ниже я помещу несколько фото из iPad и вы можете оценить его размеры.

When I was going to this theater, I intended to shoot scenes from an operetta and took a telephoto lens with me. It’s not very suitable for shooting interiors, and I used the iPad on the premises.

Когда я собирался в этот театр, то намеривался поснимать сцены из оперетты и взял с собой телеобъектив. Для съёмки интерьеров он не очень подходит и в помещениях я использовал iPad.
