Council Members Call for Resignation of Mayor

A group of council members in Louisville have called for the Mayor, Mr. G. Fischer to officially resign from his position. At least 7 members have sought a no confidence vote, out of the 26 official council members for that region. They are urging him to step down now.

Those behind the sponsoring of the resolution say that the people in the community have had enough of the current politics and want a change. The mayor has allegedly referred to the resolution that has been brought against him as a political game.

If the resolution passes then it would offer the opportunity to those council members to be able to express their thoughts on the current administration and how they think the mayor is doing at his job.

It isn't clear if both sides are going to end up supporting the resolution, right now it is mostly republicans who have been behind it.

A Need for Economic Improvement

While council members are fussing with whether or not the mayor is doing a good job, Louisville and other Kentucky regions are suffering.

At least 300 businesses in the Louisvilel region alone have been wiped out since March of this year.

Not only have hundreds of businesses been lost, according to Yelp data, but they're also still busy funneling resources towards arresting people over victimless crimes like cannabis growing and possession.

To try and help matters, fuel some economic improvement, they could seek to reduce their occupational licensing schemes, ease up on the restrictions and violence, and seek to foster more freedom in the market.

But those aren't the pressing matters of the day for those in charge right now.

While overlords squabble over who is best suited to make the centralized arrangements for the rest of us, the machine they look over and work to perpetuate continues to crush individual liberty on a daily basis and reduce the standard of living for millions in the region through its senseless and violent edicts that are mindlessly enforced for the most part. Politics as usual.
