RE: Australia is Burning

We sometimes forget that the families of first responders serve too. And, that it is they who truly reap the sorrows of those numbers of front-line casualties on some bureaucratic tally sheet somewhere.

I think too, that many outside Australia cannot comprehend the losses to your flora and fauna. So much of Australia's landscape is wholly unique and found almost nowhere else in the world outside of zoos.

It's such an unimaginable tragedy of truly unfathomable scale. I'm afraid it's also a window into what much of the world will face with the unchecked climate crises about which our leaders are too inept or too delusional in their greed to do anything substantive.
