O, for quadruple grace! to pardon
the bustling, blundering fool
and forever flaky friend,
the pretty pesky pervert
and sweetly vampiric fiend.

The lava of fury flows
and courses through my veins —
but, hush now, it’s all material*
for a basalt tabletop.

O, for all the grace! to pardon
all the world’s unfairness,
its hideousness and helplessness,
which are both at once hid
and seen in fluorescent light.

The lava of fury flows
and courses through my veins —
but, hush now, it’s all material
for a basalt tabletop.

O, for e’en more grace! to pardon
me, myself and you!

The lava of fury flows
and courses through my veins —
but, hush now, it’s all material
for a basalt tabletop.

*Inspired by Robert Greene’s quote, “It’s all material”.

I tend to take things way too seriously, so this was a reminder to myself to have cosmic detachment and humour.
Well, what can I say, but that it worked (for one day and counting).

Have a good day, my friends! And don't forget to let loose a lil'.

There is a Warrior Prayer that goes... In conflict I walk away and in detachment I am free....In freedom I have power.... I am what I am, So be it.

A little fury can go a long way when kept light and cheerful.

I wouldn't mind a table in obsidian. It might be a bit heavy though. I'd be trading one heavy load (fury) for another (a level space for me to pile my papers on)

I'm trying to follow along with levity, but I am not known for my jokes. Or rather I AM known for my jokes because they are so bad.

I enjoyed your poem.
