Road trip - my poetry
Road trip
On a road to nowhere
Gripping the steering wheel as a drive
along this lonely highway
the radio plays static with only the
galaxies up ahead to guide my way
The engine is humming
while you are strumming
on your guitar in the back seat of my car
If we don't leave now we will never get
out alive
they will eventually work it out and
connect the dots but we'll be miles away
from here
Having abandoned our other life
left our skeletons at home
