The language of pride is square, so is the way of the world;

Hasan Jamil knows a bit about traveling on a train, though - a lot

I doubt it; Since he had never met -

Guaranteed to be foolish

অভিমানের ভাষা চ-বর্গীয়, দুনিয়া পাড়ি দেবার পথও তাই;

ট্রেনে ভ্রমণ করতে করতে এর কিছুটা জেনেছেন  হাসান জামিল,—হয়তো অনেকটাই

সন্দেহ করছি, চিন্তা করছি; যেহেতু তার সঙ্গে দেখা হয় নাই—

নিশ্চয়তা দেয়া হবে বোকামি

 

আর তাছাড়া পুরুষ মূলত— স্বীকারে অনিচ্ছা সত্ত্বেও বলি— কর্মে ও করণে বহুগামী;

নারীরাও আজকাল কতো কি, সব জানি না, তাই বলি না; আমি কিছুটা বেকুব

ত-বর্গ প্রতিদানপ্রবণ, দাতা।

অভিমানহীন বাঁচি, দ্বিধায় থরোথরো

 

প্রেমিকা ক্ষেপে গিয়ে বলল: তোমার কবিতারে চু...

প্রতিউত্তর জানা নাই, বলেছি: ... দাও

তোমার যা ইচ্ছে করো

 

রাসেল, ট্রেন স্টেশনে পৌঁছলেই দেব তুমুল হুইসেল

—'তোমার স্টেশনরে চু...'
