Let the driver be drunk of courage!
Let the dangling keys of oppression
Find the ignition of freedom
Let the journey to emancipation begin

Let the clouds of oppression
Hanging sinisterly in the sky like a bat
Give way for a new day of freedom
Let the passengers not look back

Let the passengers not look back
Lest, like Lot's wife, they become pillars of salt
Let the passengers listen not to the chirping birds
That predict doom for the vehicle of freedom.

Let the driver mind not the bends
Let the driver mind not the bumps
Let the driver mind not the hills
For the road to freedom is never smooth.

Let the passengers murmur not
Let the passengers tremble not
When the violent wind of suppression
Pushes against the vehicle of freedom.

For usualy freedom comes at a great price
For which the passengers must be willing to pay
For the most expensive freedom
Is cheaper than the garb of oppression.

Let the driver apply the brake of thanksgiving
Let the passengers gaze into the vast heavens above
And roar with great joy, singing
Free, free, we're free at last!
