On The First Day of Christmas...

Of An Animated Shaking Christmas Box..!

In the lead up to Christmas, I've decided to spend some time learning, or should I say 'polishing' some Photoshop skills and what better way to do that than by making cheesy Christmas graphics.

You may remember in August, when I created and posted my first gif of 'boxing kangaroos'. Making GIF's has been in the back of my mind for a long (long) time as something I really wanted to master however, in all my time using PS, I'd never needed to use the animation feature and as a result, I never did.

However, this week I've seen some really fantastic gifs that have been created by some very talented people, either in a post or purely for the shenanigans on Discord. Either way, this has inspired me to hone my craft and become more comfortable with the process of creating them. So, when I came across a similar gif yesterday, I thought it would make an interesting exercise to try and replicate it.

Overall, I think my gif turned out pretty good, although I'd love to add some audio of a shaking box; and now that I've uploaded onto a dark background, I can see that I need to work the edges a little (BUT it's just a little waterlogged, she's still good)

As a side note, I just wanted to remind people that while it's nice to receive gifts at Christmas, as is the (western) tradition... please remember that in some cases, this may be the last Christmas you spend with some loved ones and on that note, I just wanted to remind everyone to enjoy the company of friends and family over the holidays and embrace the memories you are creating... because as it so often happens, after everything is said and done... it's the events and memories created on the day that we remember... not so much the material items that were wrapped up as a gift.
