Relaxing by the Sea Shore, in the Lovely Isles of Azores (Portugal)

Good night , everyone!

Here's a photo of me and a friend, relaxing and catching up with everything, after we spent a couple of years apart.

It was a beautiful afternoon and I had just arrived to the Terceira Island, in the Azores.

My friends went to the airport to pick me up and then we went to their place, by the seashore, where I would be staying for a couple of weeks. I am used to stay in hotels, everywhere I go, so this was a much more familiar feeling. I was always amongst friends the whole time and they showed me around 5 of the Islands of Azores: Terceira, Graciosa, São Jorge, Pico and Faial!

There are still 4 Islands left for me to visit, so it's very likely I'll return someday!

Have you ever heard about these Islands? Do you have any plans to visit them?

É uma zona complicada para conhecer... demorei 2 semanas para ver 5 ilhas e fiquei com a sensação que não vi quase nada! 😆

I'd go swimming in the sea. After all, on the shore of such a wonderful place , it was necessary to take advantage of the moment and swim :-)

I am sure you had a great time :) First time visiting the Azores? When I plan to go to Portugal, I hope to include the islands on that time vacation. After what I have seen on photoes those islands are worth visiting :) Ulla

They're all quite different. Terceira is the most modern Island. The others are much more rural and you'll see that on those islands the population is older, full of peasants and fishermen.

Yep. Please notice that I only know 5 of the 9 Islands. I'm sure the other 4 are pretty cool, too.
