A Quick Walk around the Yard
A few days ago I went over to feed my landlords puppers, and on the way I noticed an interesting cloud formation. Of course by the time I fed the dogs and went back to retrieve my camera, the clouds had drifted off.
Not to be dissuaded I noticed some wild flowers in the garden out front.
Sunflowers!
And some purpley thingies...
Imagine a swarm of tiny lavender butterflies upon a flower..
()
a few candid photos of sunflowers at a garden party
()
doing drunk selfies.. what a lark!!
I noticed these sparkly firework grasses
with a delicate rose colored bud..
Then moved on to some evergreen berries. I think this is Juniper?
another multi-colored berry bush
A grove of shady trees offers relief..
Next I wandered over to the side yard, where I it looks pretty much like a giant weed patch when I'm in gardening mode.
There I discovered a playful swirly vine wrapped like a lover around a dead flower stem.
The nice thing about looking with my other eyes is this gives me time to slow down and take in details
and to reflect on the incredible imagination found in nature.
Upon investigating a patch of white horehound
I spied a bee nomming a bit of sweet nectar
perhaps leaving some pollen traces which will bear fruit in the future.
Such pictures! Much enjoyment!
The last bee picture came out really well with the really close up shot!
The multihead sunflower might be a black oil seed sunflower, or it might be an ornamental type, it's hard to say. If someone feeds the birds close by, it's probably a black oil sunflower, dropped by a bird.
could be. everything out there is a volunteer...
Some pretty flowers there. Love the dog photo and sunflowers are a favorite. 😊

thanks!
I love, love love it! Thanks for bringing us with you. :)
Bees are the best – such misunderstood, beautiful lil' pollinators. <3 Gettin' up close and personal with them is one of my favorite things, ever.
I love the image of the dog, it looks very gentle, greetings from México
ola saulos, he is very gentle but he has a very loud voice, especially when he is hungry :)
Beautiful photos 😊

thank you :)
Hola @torico.
Wow - that's an incredible treasure you found in the yard! I feel like I'd have to walk quite a bit further to find something similar to this :D
I am very lucky in my situation; every day beauty surrounds me.
Great series of photographs. The photo of dog came out beautifully. Nice first photo in your series.
Thank you for sharing
i was not even thinking of including him, as he isnt your typical flower, but he has a hook ;)
His name should be Flower. I love the breed, but my dogs are all house dogs and my complains about shedding. And yes he was a great hook
wow! a huge variety in nature!
I love seeing different colors in the plants.:D
Taking photos makes us more observant of the beauties and details around...and then the mundane becomes full of wonder !😊
I totally agree!
