First Street Green Art

I do love visiting the First Street Green Art Park a few times each year as the art is always changing, these shots are from a visit a couple of months ago.

This first one shows a couple of pieces the main one under the First Street Green sign is a colorful perhaps strange piece but it did give me a smile when I saw it

The First Street Green Art park is described on their [website]9http://www.fabnyc.org/first-street-green-art-park/)

First Street Green Art Park provides murals, sculpture, and ongoing cultural activity by engaging with artists, architects, community and cultural groups through a series of programs that activate this public space in the Lower East Side, NYC.

The cool thing about this park is the murals can be such a variety of styles from more artistic to tagging style like this one, the message Is it Friday yet is something I can relate to these days, I never really used to get that feeling but as I have been approaching retirement I kind of feel myself thinking that more these days LOL

Now art of course is in the Eye of the beholder, Soem pieces I dont see the art side but some I do and make me go WOW that is awesome and this next piec eis one of those

These are really fun! I have to admit, those 3D eyepoppers are really a wow for me and of course, the last whimsical one is so cute.

You really have culled the best of the best when you do your walkabouts every day. I don't think you realize how lucky you are to have all this beauty (although it is in the eyes of the beholder!) surrounding you on a daily basis.

You really do take advantage of it and I am so happy to see that!

Wow, I like that cool turtle most, but all are good and I think you have photographed some great pieces of art - I haven't seen such places here, where people can show their art in such a way 😊

Thanks NYC has a lot of art all around, and include these as art, there is also a lot of Tagging where people paint names and such that I do not see as art myself

I thin I am telecommuting tomorrow so today is sort of Friday for me

Yes, I know that there's a lot of art in Noew York City, and you show or better said you present much of this art in your posts.
I like this tagging above with the "friday..." saying, but as you say, when they just paint or spray their names on walls I call it a damage and not art.

I might be a bit !DERANGED but not only I have a !BEER for you today, but also a !COFFEEA which I have bought at the !MARLIANS !shop 😉
