A full Moon

I think the mix of a lot of things to do and going on for me and the Full Moon yesterday, along with the cooler weather has put me in a bit of a funk for taking and editing photos of recent, but today the temp is taking a climb and will hit 65 today, I will try and motivate myself to get out for a walk today and get myself motivated again, lets see how that works out.

I wasn't sure what to share today but writing the first paragraph reminded me of a shot of the moon I took a while back so let me share that

Don't worry its nothing big going on with me, just some family with medical issues and a lot to do between now and when I retire, plus planning for the few months after I retire and before I get my final payment and the Pension kicking in, all things that will work out well so its all good but they do get stuck in my head at times.
I always getting into a funny mood when there is a full moon, and the same for my wife, I remember back when I was in primary school, it clearly used to affect me even more than now, a teacher that I had one year back then, actually talked to my parents and asked that on the day of the full moon could they keep me at home as I must have been a nightmare to handle on those days, I would like to think I am better these days LOL

I remember looking it up a few years ago, and I remember reading in a study I think it was back in 2007, 45 percent of college students believe moonstruck humans are prone to unusual behaviors, also in the same year several police departments in the U.K. even added officers on full-moon nights in an effort to cope with presumed higher crime rates.

Also did you realize the meaning of the word Lunacy was originally referring to insanity of an intermittent kind attributed to changes of the moon

So I have to ask

Do you think I am crazy, or can the full moon affect people?

First off, thank you so much! Did you know I totally like the full moon? I have a collection of photos of the full moon 😁😁 yeah I've heard about folks affected by this monthly event. It could or could not be true. I still love looking at any full moon. Enjoy your weekend! 😉👌

Nice shot, may look easy getting the moon in a picture but I find it's not that easy....Jay retire as soon as you can... I retired at 56 with a smaller pension but never regretted it. Do the math and take the plunge....:-)

Thanks and I have taken the plunge, i turn 60 next week and retire at the end of Feb and for the most part are excited about it, just this last week has been crazy with a lot going on, add the full Moon and I guess it got to me, this week and the months and years ahead will be great :)

It is a great pleasure for me to be back, time passes and does not forgive and sometimes there is a tumult in our head, but even with that we have to deal, everything always has a solution.
And for me the full moon is something enigmatic that I try to discover by watching her wanting to look for her all her mystery.

I do know a few people which turn crazy when we have full moon. I don't know if it affects me, but I'm !DERANGED anyway as you know ;)

As long as you don't climb the roof with your wife and howl at the moon, everything is fine I think 😉

That cool photo might motivate me to go for a moon shot tonight ... maybe ;)

LOL funny you should mention howling ta the moon, that was something A few of us did at midnight after leaving the bar back in my army days on a full moon climb up on a roof and howl LOL

I have been too lazy last night to go out and shoot the moon - it is still up there on the sky, isn't it? If so, nobody else has shot it neither ;) lol

Well yes I was one of the ones howling, it became a tradition in one camp every full moon on a full Moon tot he bar drink too much them climb on a roof and howl LOL

Love the photo.

Yes... I believe the moon affects a lot of things and that some people are more affected by it than others. I've read a lot about it, but not recently. It's really fascinating.

I have a family full of law enforcement and they will tell you that there is more craziness going on when the moon is full.

Thanks for confirming its not just my imagination that it affects some people, and for sure it affects me and my wife, we always get scratchy at each other during a full moon but now laugh it off as just that

Beautiful shot of the moon!
I certainly don't think it is a matter of craziness - the moon does effect people and you are perhaps more sensitive to it!
I work at the school and we always notice a change in behavior of the kids when there is a full moon! How unfortunate that they actually asked your folks to keep you at home! I do hope that never had a negative effect on you!
I feel a rise in energy at the time of the full moon and some times I can harness that energy other times I'm just aware.
I got myself out in the -30 Celcius temperature to take some photos of the full moon and I was so happy I did for it was a fabulous full moon rising over the towering spruce trees with a ring around it. I'm saving them for the #Wednesdaywalk for there is a whole story around it!

I've been preparing for retirement too - 1 1/2 years left to go! Then I want to spend more time on my photography! Your #Wednesdaywalk have been an inspiration for me - thanks for hosting them!

Thanks for confirming it is something you have noticed, I was young at the time and did well at school but got bored there so I didnt mind the extra day off school, I was young then, and wished it had been for all yeard not just that one year, and it didnt affect my schooling i was always top in most subjects even though i was a nightmare for not always paying attention

WOW getting out in that cold for shots, your far better than me, I feel the cold these days and dont go out when its near zero let along that cold

I am down to a month and a half to go and more photography time is for sure on my plans :)

I love the Full moon because the tides here are always the most severe. So the other day we had the tidal flats and I can go out and scavenge for fun beach treasures where there is usually cold ocean.

I hope the moon is kinder to you and I know what you mean about moods. We can all get a bit 'mooney' this time of it's cycle. The New Moon affects me a bit too.

Very great photography with the full moon, really has something mystical, mysterious about it. As a matter of fact there are countless stories about the moon and its alleged effect on humans, animals and plants.
