I have one of these from WAY back in the day when they first started making these from a Kickstarter... Way back being relative... I don't know if the new design updates address any of my issues; I have mixed feelings about this thing, I find when using it on my belt the weight of the camera tends to 'lever' the thing outwards and after a while it can dig into you. And often it was hard to find the 'perfect' placement when using it on a bag. It's going to start to get unwiedly for longer treks. lets just say it has it's uses but probably not going to be hiking ALL the way up the mountain with your camera right there like they probably envisioned or something. But, slr's arent exactly known for their small size and portability so I can understand, and given the choice of having this or not I would for sure opt for it. And in a pinch it has made an interesting gopro mount(along with the gopro tripod mount of course) which when used this way can be very versatile indeed. Also the thing is built very well for sure. I lost one of the screws that tighten down on the strap(from my own negligence) and found it a month later miraculously on a dirt/gravel road having been driven over by a car and it still works... Can't beat the quality. Nice review.
